§ 1-3-1. Date and time.

(a)

Regular city council meetings will be held on the first and third Monday of each month. Additionally, public hearings will be held at either meeting as deemed necessary.

(b)

Special meetings of the council may be held on the call of the mayor or of a majority of the members. Notice of a special meeting shall be given immediately to all available members and the news media by the clerk.

(c)

All regular and special meetings of the council shall be open to the public.

(d)

The mayor and city council shall have full discretion to cancel or reschedule any regular council meeting as it deems appropriate. Notice of a change in meeting date from the regular schedule shall be given to the news media by the clerk.
