§ 6-4-29. Rabies inoculation required.

  • It shall be unlawful for any person to own, harbor, maintain or have in possession within the city any dog or cat unless the dog or cat has an effective, current inoculation against rabies administered by a duly authorized veterinarian or other person authorized to administer the vaccine, provided that this section shall not apply to dogs or cats less than four (4) months old. All dogs and cats over four (4) months old not wearing an inoculation tag shall be considered as a stray dog or cat.
