§ 7-3-5. Same; investigation of application.

The city police chief shall, before approval of the issuance of any license to the owner of any taxicab, make or cause to be made an investigation of the applicant. No license shall be issued if the clerk finds, upon investigation, that the applicant does not possess the necessary qualifications suitable for the safe, prudent and satisfactory operation of a taxicab upon the streets of the city.
