§ 9-3-21. Gambling prohibited.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to open, keep, or maintain any gaming house in any building within the corporate limits of the city, or suffer or permit any description of gaming or playing any game of chance or skill for money, goods, chattels, or other things whatsoever.

(b)

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, or corporation to keep, participate, or engage in any device of gaming whatsoever in any building, street, lane, alley, court, park, lot, or public way within the city, and any such device shall be confiscated by any member of the police department.
