§ 1-5-4. Sanitation reserve fund; establishment and use.

  • (a)

    There is hereby established the sanitation reserve fund for the sanitation department of the city.

    (b)

    The purpose of said fund is to provide a reserve fund for the payment of costs incurred for the purpose of reestablishing a fully equipped and staffed sanitation department should the city at some future date feel this would be in the best interest of the city.

    (c)

    All revenue from the sale of sanitation department equipment and vehicles (approximately $110,500), plus $70,000 per year starting with fiscal year 1986, will be deposited by the finance department office into the fund created hereby.

    (d)

    All expenditures from the fund created hereby shall be approved by the city council.
