§ 3-3-15. Supervision.

  • (a)

    The special projects coordinator and designated city employees are responsible for supervision of the cemetery and maintenance therein, according to the rules and regulations made or to be made. Anyone entering the grounds is subject to the rules and regulations.

    (b)

    Funeral directors in charge of burial services are responsible for insuring that no one shall be buried in any lot without having interment rights therein, or ownership thereof, or as otherwise provided in section 3-3-14.

    (c)

    Funeral directors in charge of burial services in the cemetery are responsible to the city for proper opening and closing of graves, re-sodding, installation of vaults or other burial receptacles, routing and parking of funeral processions so as to avoid traffic problems, removal of tent or anything else pertaining to burial functions. Funeral directors are responsible for and required to sod all graves within two (2) weeks of a burial. Any violation is punishable as a misdemeanor.

    (d)

    Dogs are not permitted in the cemetery; small children should be accompanied by an adult.
